We are looking for a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist  to join our team and be the welcoming face of our dental practice. In this role, you will handle a variety of front desk responsibilities, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records. Your excellent communication skills and attention to detail will help ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience from check-in to check-out.

As a Dental Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in supporting both patients and the dental team. You’ll be responsible for coordinating with staff, answering phones, and addressing patient inquiries, all while maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere. Dental Receptionist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet patients in the office.
  • Scheduling or canceling appointments.
  • Assisting patients with filling out paperwork.
  • Getting the dental staff’s charts and daily routines ready.
  • Keeping track of recent treatments and procedures and updating patient data.
  • Setting up follow-up appointments and sending out reminders and letters.
  • Getting in touch with dental insurance companies.
  • Verifying payment methods and collecting money as necessary.
  • Answering phones, scanning, filing, and faxing are examples of common office chores.

Dental Receptionist Requirements:

  • GED or high school diploma.
  • It is helpful to have a certification in office administration, medical administration, or a comparable profession.
  • Working experience in a dental office is preferred but not required.
  • Fluent with computers. Fast learner with software (we use Open Dental).
  • Working understanding of administrative procedures in general.
  • Telephone etiquette is important.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
