Regional Director of Sales l Hyatt Place Waikiki Job Category : Sales & Marketing Requisition Number : REGIO016388 Apply now Posted : April 30, 2025 Full-Time On-site Salary : $150,000 USD per year Locations Showing 1 location Must Have Hospitality Sales Management Experience In addition to being a proven salesperson, our Regional DOS must effectively manage, mentor, train and inspire a results-driven team to succeed. You will provide critical direction in determining sales strategies while aggressively pursuing and securing leisure/transient and group business to maximize hotel revenue. They are responsible for developing the sales forecast for the annual budget. Responsibilities + Authorities: Always treats guests with courtesy and respect. Display honesty and integrity. Build strong relationships with colleagues, partners, clients and outside vendors. Specific Duties: Move throughout the properties to conduct site inspections. Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients. Partner with property DOS to explore and support sales initiatives Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts. Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients. Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition. Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account. Represent hotels at trade shows. Set up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting and reaching overhead. Achieve monthly top line revenue goals and increase the hotel’s STAR market share. Leverage emerging tools and technology to prospect for new business and have working knowledge of relevant programs. Effectively utilize all systems to their maximum capacity including information input, reporting, understanding how all systems work together and utilizing key data. Evaluate potential business opportunities for the hotel and coordinate as necessary with GM and Revenue Manager. Effectively recruits, trains and mentors sales team members and fosters strong team culture. Leads by example and trains sales team members to saturate accounts for maximum results. Participates with the budgeting process for top line revenue, group with Food + Beverage mix as well as sales expenses. Maintains awareness of the sales practices of the hotel’s competitive set and is a “product expert” when selling against them. Ensures adherence to all sales administrative processes and deadlines, including preparation and submission of reports, budgets, and/or internal communications. Plans, organizes, leads and/or participates in hotel meetings including staff meetings, sales meetings, etc. Meet with the hotel Director of Sales at their properties as needed Perform any other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications + Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Travel/Tourism, Sales/Marketing or similar preferred. 5 years sales management experience in the hospitality industry, minimum 2 years convention property experience. Previous experience as a Hotel Director of Sales with a major hotel brand preferred. Minimum of 2 years managing a team of sales managers (including outside/direct sales experience). Experience in hotel and brand marketing. Some experience or understanding of catering sales experience required. .
