Position Summary

Reporting to the Group Chief Actuary, the Senior Actuary will lead Group Actuarial projects and analysis, playing a key role within the organization with high visibility among senior leaders. The position can be based in the New York metropolitan area or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support special projects aligned with the Group Actuarial strategy.
  • Manage Group Actuarial analysis and reporting, including ad hoc requests.
  • Develop solutions to support and streamline actuarial processes.
  • Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate across functions to enhance data utilization.
  • Lead external benchmarking efforts.
  • Work with global actuarial teams to ensure consistency.
  • Embody The Ascot Way in daily interactions, promoting engagement, collaboration, and accountability.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of relevant actuarial experience.
  • ACAS designation required; FCAS preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and business focus.
  • Creative problem-solving, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
  • Proficiency in data analysis; experience with SQL, R, Python beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Position may be filled at different levels depending on experience.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role in the New York Metro area is $205,000 - $220,000, with actual pay depending on experience and skills. Total compensation may include bonuses and other rewards.
